Spaghetti Bridge is an independent group of specialist schools. We are passionate about providing young people who experience barriers to learning with a dynamic and outcome focused education.
Due to growth we are expanding our HR team and Learning & Development Provision. This is an excellent opportunity to join a developing group with excellent opportunities for professional development.
Location: This is a remote /hybrid role. We have schools across the South West from Plymouth to Gloucester and we are extending beyond this area. Regular visits to our schools is required. Expenses are paid for travel.
Providing excellent opportunities for learning and development is a key aim for our Group. This is a great opportunity for a Learning & Development specialist to establish this role.
The postholder will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation and evaluation of our training activity. They will need to ensure that our learning and development actions support us to meet our strategic aims.
They will develop an annual and ongoing cycle of training and development opportunities and will work closely with key colleagues to identify and respond to the development needs of the group. Their remit will extend from organising one off training courses to developing our apprenticeship and progression routes.
They will also work closely with our IT teams to ensure that learning and development activity is tracked and monitored.
This role sits within our HR function, we expect flexible and proactive approach from the team, the work is varied and we support each other to respond to the changing needs of the Group.

Key requirements:
- Experience within an Learning & Development / training remit
- A good understanding of training design, implementation and evaluation methods
- A flexible and proactive approach
- A good understanding of learning principles and how to meet learning needs
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
- A process driven approach and excellent organisational skills
- Good IT skills, ability to work across a range of packages
- The ability to create, analyse and respond to data
Experience of working within a school environment and our statutory frameworks would be an advantage.
